Jana Buresova joins AN Law Firm, P.C. as Of Counsel, bringing more than 20 years of experience advising technology and emerging-growth companies on commercial transactions, corporate matters, employment law, data privacy, and other legal issues arising throughout the business lifecycle. Her experience spans private practice and in-house legal roles, advising companies ranging from early-stage startups to publicly traded companies.
Jana has extensive experience structuring, drafting, and negotiating complex commercial and technology transactions, including SaaS and software licensing agreements, AI and data agreements, hardware and technology transactions, strategic partnerships, reseller and distribution arrangements, professional services agreements, and other business-critical commercial contracts. She regularly advises companies developing and commercializing SaaS, artificial intelligence, hardware, biotech, life sciences, and other emerging technologies.
In addition to her transactional practice, Jana counsels companies on corporate and governance matters, employment issues, intellectual property and licensing, and domestic and international data privacy and security requirements. She frequently works with founders, executives, sales teams, product teams, and boards to translate complex legal issues into practical solutions that support the company’s commercial objectives while appropriately managing risk.
Throughout her career, Jana has advised venture-backed and public technology companies and has worked with companies such as VMware, Hewlett-Packard, Genentech, HashiCorp, Anaplan, ElevenLabs, Evolv Technology, Profound, Productboard, Care.com, and other leading technology and emerging-growth companies. Her experience in both in-house and private practice settings allows her to approach legal issues from the perspective of the business and to provide practical, commercially focused advice.
Jana began her career in private practice and subsequently held senior in-house roles advising companies on their commercial operations and growth. She is admitted to practice law in California.
